Yes, there are two racoons in that picture. I forgot to turn off my camera flash when I took this picture. The raccons didn't really like the bright light in their eyes and started hissing at me. I decided that one picture was enough. I'm glad it turned out pretty well.

Theresa's Birthday!!!

We had 13 people at our place for dinner last Friday night to celebrate Theresa's birthday. We had a lot of fun. Dinner was fettucine alfredo w/broccoli, cheesy cauliflower, spicy potatoes, spaghetti, and green salad. For dessert we had fruit salad, a Romanian chocolate cake with pudding, and brownies. It was so much fun to have a lot of people over and to cook again.

This is a birthday card with "Happy Birthday" written on it in 28 different languages. It was so much fun taking this card around and getting different people to write in it without Theresa catching me. I don't know of very many places where you can find people to write Happy Birthday in 28 languages, but I guess at a linguistics school it's not that surprising. It sure is neat to see all the different ways of writing Happy Birthday. Sorry the picture isn't more clear. Maybe I'll scan the card another day.

This week we have midterms. I should be studying instead of posting an update on xanga. Maybe I'll go study now.

 Sounds like you're having a good time up there. Thanks for the pictures. If you get some good light (maybe daylight) and put your camera on macro, you might be able to get a clear picture of the card. I tried it the other day with a newspaper article, and it worked ok. Study hard!

The card is very neat. The Donald's had a excange student from Korea and sometimes we could get her to write something in korean.
